Study unit:
The theoretical lecture whose duration is not less than thirty minutes, or the practical or field lesson whose duration is not less than thirty minutes.

Quarterly Business Degree:

The final grade:

A description of the percentage, or the alphabetical symbol, of the final grade obtained by the student in any course.

Incomplete estimate:
An estimate made temporarily for each course for which the student is unable to complete its requirements on the specified date, and it is symbolized in the academic record with the letter (L) or (IC).

Continuous appreciation:
An estimate made temporarily for each course whose study nature requires more than one semester to complete, and it is symbolized by the symbol (M) or (IP).

Semester average:
The result of dividing the total points obtained by the student by the total credit hours prescribed for all courses that he studied at any academic level. Points are calculated by multiplying the number of prescribed hours by the weight of the grade obtained in each course that the student studied.

Cumulative average:
The result of dividing the total points obtained by the student in all the courses he studied since joining the program by the total hours prescribed for those courses.

Overall rating:
Describe the level of educational attainment of the student during the period of study in the program.

Minimum academic load:
The minimum number of credit hours that a student is allowed to register in proportion to his academic status and in accordance with the decisions of the Center Council.

Estimates system in the Euphrates Center:
Appendix A shows all the estimates used in the Euphrates Center and the points specified for each estimate, and a point system with an upper limit of (4.00) is used.

Specialization rate:
It is the grade average obtained by the student in the specialization courses in addition to the other approved academic courses. The specialization average is calculated on the basis of the last grade obtained by the student in the academic course.

The study unit for the practical / field lesson:
The duration of each practical or field lesson is approximately 25-30 minutes, with a minimum of 20 minutes for some programmes.

Defaulters Committee and Study Cases:
An advisory committee formed by the head of the center, whose mission is to study the status of transfer and re-registration applications, review cases of suspension, and make the necessary recommendations in this regard in preparation for approval as required by the regulations.

Upgrade tests:
A test administered to students who have shown superiority in the entrance test, and to students who have achieved high end-of-level scores.

The cooperative program:
Some students are required to spend a period of practical training in the field of specialization for a period of (1) week, equivalent to (3 credit hours) that students spend in practical training, and the student must be in constant contact with his mentor regarding his cooperative program, and he must complete the program before the last semester at the center.

Important note:
The student bears the responsibility of knowing and following the study system and the regulations governing it, including graduation requirements, and directing academic advisors and their assistance to the student in this does not exempt him from shouldering this responsibility, so it is necessary for every student to be aware of the study system and understand the instructions for granting the scientific degree accurately He should constantly strive to be acquainted with new academic systems, and in this he can consult the head of the program that the student is studying.

Exams and Evaluations:

Based on the recommendations of the program board teaching the course, the center board determines the semester work grade so that it is not less than 30% of the final grade for the course.

Work Grades
The semester work grade for the course is calculated in one of the following two ways:

At least one written exam in addition to some or all of the following: oral and practical exams, research, or other classroom activities.
At least two written exams.

Recommendations:
The center board may – based on the recommendations of the program board to which the course belongs – guarantee the final exam in any practical or oral exams for the course, and determine the percentage of the final grade for the course allocated for these exams.

Teaching Courses:
The program board teaching the course may, based on the recommendations of the course instructor, allow the student to complete the requirements of any course in the following semester. In such cases, an incomplete (IC) grade is recorded for the student in his academic record and is not calculated in the semester or cumulative average until the student completes the course requirements and obtains the degree. If one semester passes and the incomplete (IC) grade in the student’s record does not change due to non-completion, it is replaced with a failing (F) grade and is calculated in the semester and cumulative average.
